Rick Strappello, Executive Director,
has served
Camp Mantowagan for 29 years. His responsibilities are
numerous and include strategizing the future ministry
and overseeing the daily operation of Camp Mantowagan.
He supervises the programs of Camp Mantowagan and also
brings his experience and ex pertise
in cutting-edge camping ministry philosophy. He is a
graduate of Grace
College in Winona Lake, IN, and he serves as a
consultant to others in camping ministry.
His wife, Connie,
and his family are a vital part of the camping ministry.
Connie Strappello
serves as
part-time secretary and oversees the summer camp
registration and many other areas of camping ministry.
She serves in many unseen, yet vital, ministries at the
camp.
Lee
Strappello, Business and Facility Manager,
grew up at
Camp Mantowagan and returned to serve on staff in May of
2005. His responsibilities involve the business and
financial issues as well as overseeing the facilities and
maintenance of Camp Mantowagan. He also assists the
Executive Director and serve in numerous programming tasks
for the summer camp program. He is a graduate of Grace
College in Winona Lake, IN. Lee and his wife, Kim,
are excited to minister at Camp Mantowagan.
Kay
Brode
serves as a part-time camp custodian making sure
the facilities are cleaned and ready for the weekly retreat
groups and the weekly summer camps throughout June, July and
August.
Other
volunteers and part-time staff
help to keep the camp in
great shape.
Our summer staff
included godly
college students
serving as cabin counselors. Other
adult and older teen volunteers
serve as counselors,
program staff and kitchen staff.



The
district pastors serve
in various capacities in the area of programming.
The camp is
governed by a camp board
of representatives from each
of the district churches and is owned and operated by the
West Penn District Grace Brethren Men's Organization.
