Rick Strappello, Executive Director, has served Camp Mantowagan for 29 years.  His responsibilities are numerous and include strategizing the future ministry and overseeing the daily operation of Camp Mantowagan.  He supervises the programs of Camp Mantowagan and also brings his experience and expertise in cutting-edge camping ministry philosophy.  He is a graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake, IN, and he serves as a consultant to others in camping ministry.  His wife, Connie, and his family are a vital part of the camping ministry.

Connie Strappello serves as part-time secretary and oversees the summer camp registration and many other areas of camping ministry.  She serves in many unseen, yet vital, ministries at the camp.

Lee Strappello, Business and Facility Manager, grew up at Camp Mantowagan and returned to serve on staff in May of 2005.  His responsibilities involve the business and financial issues as well as overseeing the facilities and maintenance of Camp Mantowagan.  He also assists the Executive Director and serve in numerous programming tasks for the summer camp program.  He is a graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake, IN.  Lee and his wife, Kim, are excited to minister at Camp Mantowagan.

Kay Brode serves as a part-time camp custodian making sure the facilities are cleaned and ready for the weekly retreat groups and the weekly summer camps throughout June, July and August.

Other volunteers and part-time staff help to keep the camp in great shape.

Our summer staff included godly college students serving as cabin counselors.  Other adult and older teen volunteers serve as counselors, program staff and kitchen staff.

The district pastors serve in various capacities in the area of programming.

The camp is governed by a camp board of representatives from each of the district churches and is owned and operated by the West Penn District Grace Brethren Men's Organization.
